Oh look ... I have a nice new pretty badge! We don't NEED no steenkin bagdes, but we like them!!!

could be kinda similar to dwarf bread?

They're roughly round, fairly flat and heavy (being unleavened). The sweet bread is a beautiful golden colour, dimpled with the hazlenut pieces; whereas the more crumbly barley bread is a deeper, musty brown.
Don't know if it's any help, but they would normally be cooked on a hot stone next to a fire. The grain itself would have been ground by hand on a quernstone. Hope this is of some use!
