Have found out H2g2 has chaged its clothes- we too have mad staff + I do out of hours with a bunch of managers with no clinical acumen, ruuning the show- its just a money making scheme to them!!!anyway, thinking of leaving it soon as will hopefully be a GP partner so my pay will increase + I do not have to see patients all hours God sends!!!
A patient came in today + said she had a shopping list of stuff. I told her to go to Tesco , or the nearest shop as thats a more appropriate venue for this sort of list!!! Take care

Just back after a couple of weeks leave. Had a sabbatical from here, Edwardo aka NTM and a few others were becoming boorish, which isn't good for the community as we slug it out I do have pride you know
Though I also recognise the need to take a sabbatical in the interests of others
I'm not as conceited as some
YOU HEAR THAT GUYS???? No names, no pack drill Zzzzzzzz
HMS Turbulent Cramped?
It's like living in a corridor. Try doing that and being on the edge of life or death risk
I had an interesting time sneaking around
Nuclear submarines scare people, that's what they are for that, and espionage

yes- i'm sure they get a lot of information- can they be tracked by satellites though! i've had a week off (boy did i need it) + return to work next week

Urrrrrrrm, the short answer is no, when submerged. By other submarines??? Well that is an area well known to those who know, and not in the public interest of those that don't
Too many people about at the moment? I'm planning my strategy for next years 100, primarily a qualifying walk

Saw a documentary on the Navy Seals- seems they use quite sophisticated submersible delivery systems
I will be going on a short walk today, after lunch- back to work tomorrow + have our medical students for their last day!!<cool
have a good walk yourself!

Navy Seals are American, of course. While I don't doubt their sincerity and commitment, perhaps a little too much reliance on technology. Our own SBS use machines, but also the skills required cramming into a 5 man chamber for entry and exit procedures. I'm bring a little mealy mouthed about this sort of thing, much remains outside the public interest. The thugs from Hereford are the publicised and airbourne version, though even they break down into specialised units. Likewise the Royal Navy/ Royal Marines have the SBS. I had little to do with them, outside my remit. The less known the better, the less known about where information came/comes from - how and when we get to where we need to be - the safer for all concerned I was merely a very small cog in a very large machine doing my bit in my own specialised way
How many of the medical students are going on to be pathologists? Like the very lovely Dr Alice Roberts on TV. You get to bury your mistakes

I think our medical students want to be both GPs. Of the ones who come on Thursday- one is considering surgery + the other paediatrics. Blackpool takes its students from both Manchester + Liverpool, so we feel priviledged!
I see there are cutbacks in BAe, the armed services, and now hosptals may be empty-(as there's not enough money)- where will it end?

My daughter is at John Moore Liverpool
Actually the longer there is no money, the longer places like mine (crumbling Victorian local edifaces) will remain. One the money begins to flow again we'll be sold off to the private sector

No doubt a private buyer will turn it into flats- (to be fair, if I had the money I may do the same as its profitable)- had 1 day of sun yesterday + now today its raining!-oh well Old man winter has arrived

I drop by this way occassionally, though not as often as I should It's good to see you still about my friend. I'm resisting the urge to be naughty and rascally on the threads, I feel the admins may not be as forgiving
