Hi there,
Sorry to barge in on your personal space but I'm trying to pass info on to as many people as I can. As a keen writer, you may also be interested in this site,
http://www.writersdock.co.uk/index.php......... . . .
After GW closes in March it will provide a space for us all to stay in touch.
Feel free to pass this invite on to your friends. Equally feel free to ignore it if Writers Dock is not for you.

Hi Meg,
I was listening to Radion 4 the other day and they assured viewers that it won't be closing down in March??? is this wrong then? My understanding was that it was just going to have some alterations....?
let me know if you find out anymore

The site will still be here after March 24th but it will be an archive. The articles and the work will be here but the interactive bits won't as far as I understand.
You might also have noticed in the Radio 4 interview that Liz Cleaver said that GW, in its frozen up state would only stay online until someone at the BBC took an editorial decision that it was no longer useful. she reckoned that would be 2-3 years. Then again, she said that GW in its current format was supposed to be around for 2-3years and they've axed that after 18months.
To be honest, we can't be 100% certain what will happen, but we don't want to leave it to chance. Hence, other places have been created where this community can continue to exist and interact.
I didn't mean to alarm anyone with my posts, I just wanted people to be aware that there are refuges, if the worst comes to the worst.
Good luck with your writing, whatever happens,
