To make sense of it all I went to the highest ground. Not very high. A blue hill. I sat down and things changed. It wasn't a hill and I wasn't sitting on it. I was sitting on a chair that was on top of a pillar or tower or some kind of phallic nightmare.
Change at last! Happy! And I do have an opponent, someone grey and opposite me. Her chair is purple. She's seized control of the sub-game but not for long. The board seems to be hers. As do most of the pieces. I have the cloud of flies, the conch shell, the trilobites and so on.
This is only after three minutes. The Project isn't giving me time, but it has given me leeway. I'm going to win this subgame! What looks strong will turn out to be weak, and so on. It's the ankles. Always bite the ankles. That's why most of my pieces are so low on the ground.
It's such a nice feeling to be active again, to be alive. This is such a brief period of time. It shouldn't be wasted. I want to play with my trilobites! Send them skittering around horrendously! So horrible, but with a splash of blue on them. That makes them mine.
And after the subgame. The Project will agonise over its name before it makes a new path for me to go on. I don't care about its name! Just let me walk or run. It doesn't matter what's there as long as I can feel it.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
