Welcome to h2g2. You've joined us at perhaps one of the most pivotal moment in the last ten years. As you've already posted about it I figure you know what's going on!
I usually post lots of links and information about the site, but a lot of it is now out of date so I hope you'll forgive me for not going into great detail here. Please ask me any questions you have about the place and I will find out for you. 
There's a lot of debate going on, some of it is positive, some is negative. What really shines through is the Community's determination that h2g2 will survive, whatever happens.
