ah,such a simple subject:hi.
there's something almost poetic about this simple way to say hello,when you think about it...'hi'...not 'hey' not 'how are you?' not 'greetings,my friend'just a simple,two letter word with so much meaning behind it...a universal way to start a conversation with any english-speaking person.of course,you may see the word as an insult,a pathetic attempt to talk to someone without sounding like you atcually care about what you're talking about.
but picture this:
u-'hi'
_-'hey...'
u-'do you know what we're supposed to do about ______?'
_-'uhh...don't we ____________?'
u-'yeah,that's probably it.thanks.'
_-'oh,and while you're here,do you know...'
the rest of the conversation is not important.the important thing is that origional 'hi'.however,you may not see it this way.either way,reply,please!
