*squeak* Damn - what's the use of trying to make a discreet entry when the door squeaks
*looks around* - Hm! No-one here at the moment. Checks "Who's Online" No. Oh, she must be working - boss has obviously cottoned on . Not sure mother's friends are welcome here - well, you know what youngsters are like
Looks clean and tidy, but not much going on yet. Needs a drop of oil on door though! Giggles a lot, so should fit in nicely with other HooTooers Brought up on Mother's stories, obviously. Can't see any cherries, thank goodness
Might pop back later, if I haven't been sussed. Welcome Lelly. Check out the cupboard, there's a to a new "friend".
*Opens cupboard*, deposits and *closes door* - no squeak!
Time for a sharp exit
Guess who.

Hello, Websailor - thanks for the visit and the pressies. Always nice to have new friends in for tea.
Do call in again - would love to hear from you.
I was inded brought up on Mum's stories - I unfortunately don't seem to have inherited her knack for penning a good story, though. I have loads of ideas for a great story running around in my head, but when it comes to writing them down, it all goes awry!!!! Perhaps this is what I need to get me going.....

Hi there LellyPomPom, I'm Spynxx.
I'd been wondering about the whereabouts of your mum, and with some judicious backtracking I found your post on the cresent game. Sorry to hear you've both been unwellbut happy to find you on the mend.
Please tell your mum that I wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to chatting again soon. I was begining to worry.
Well now, as long as I'm here I'd best make use of the oppertunity. How are you finding things here so far? Making plenty of friends? It seems as if every type of personality is represented here, and the boundless enthusiasm for life is...um...boundless.
For the most part you'll find me haunting the Alternative Writing Workshop (where I met your mother). I'm a miner for the UnderGuide and it's me or one of my cohorts who will review your work. Well at least when you get around to writing, though I imagine you shall in time. It's in the genes you know.
Well, it's back to the mines for me but not before I leave your welcome gift. Now don't forget to feed it! And don't worry, virtual ponys aren't picky eaters and are fond of a now and again. Enjoy.

Thanks for your message - I shall pass your good wishes on to Ma - I spoke to her yesterday, and I think she is on the way up now. It has been a very vicious bug, which the whole family, except my oldest daughter has succumbed to (constitution of an ox!!).
Thanks for the pony - a pit pony, one would assume?!! The children will be thrilled with that!!
I am really enjoying surfing around H2G2 - have had contact with lots of very interesting people - a real community.
I have not yet posted any of my writing (atually, I have not read anyone else's, either, yet). It feels a bit scary to think that other people might read it and comment! I find the ideas flow, but actually getting them down and making any sense is rather more difficult! Of course, if it were not, we would all be J K Rowling!!!!!!

Hi, Lelly,
to read that you and your Mum have been poorly. If it is the same bug my son and I had, me before/during Xmas and my son the New Year, then take care. It really is a to get rid of.
As she probably isn't bothering with HooToo at the moment, can you give her my best wishes.
I look forward to reading something of yours soon.
I am at the moment as I have been waiting for a coal delivery which was supposed to come yesterday, then today, and still hasn't I wanted to go and get shopping done in case we get the promised dump of snow (only showers of it so far) but can't go out in case they come. Don't think they know what a telephone is for I have even stayed off the computer in case they rang, but was then plagued by an automated fax caller.
Might be in a better mood tomorrow, and certainly warmer - I hope
