Yes I feel the same way, I would rather have the superhuman abilities to phase through solid ojects, astrol projection and teleportation, but teleportating sold objects is along way off.smiley - scientistsmiley - geeksmiley - ufosmiley - rocketsmiley - earthsmiley - moonsmiley - planetsmiley - cheerssmiley - biggrin

Thinker's U-tube tech post worked OK with my dailup. (It only loaded half before AOL kicked me off, but that was a fluke. The part that had loaded was fine to play.) It was good, if a bit redundant. Lots of Nemoy.smiley - smiley
I've always thought it funny how the cell phone/communicator is turning into reality.

Here's one for you:
How can you tell the earthling from the space alien?

The earthling only has an antenna growing by only one ear.

It seems a bit quiet on the Star Trek front, but I'm still spotting repeats of ST:TNG and DS9...smiley - biggrin

I am watching both and I have heard that Star Trek Voyager will be shown next week at 7pm.

Still no news about the new Star Trek tv series.

I don't think I mentioned that the fellow who wrote the lovely score for the recent ST movie also did the score for "Up", "Rattatouie" and "the Incredibles". I think they picked a winner. (Now if I could remember his name...Maybe Michael Ciannelli or some such?)

Here's something different.
Came across this lady in the "International Musician"'s April 2009 issue. She won the Star Trek talent contest for the 2003 40 anniversary gala playing a fantasy of Trek themes on her oboe.
Here's a link to her web site that explains -- good reviews by Trek folk included.

http://www.oboesoftheworld.com/startrek.htm

She spends her time lately promoting conservation of the trees oboes are made of. You can find that info on her site too under "oboes of the world' and "Mpingo's fruit".
