Flaming llamas

I have a vague idea why 'llama' translates as 'flame'...
When they spit, it isn't phlegm like we do, but the contents of their stomachs. This includes stomach acid, which I imagine isn't a particularly pleasant thing to have spat in your face.
I have some good friends who keep a small herd of llamas as pets, in Snowdonia. The main reason they keep them is to confuse tourists, who are completely confounded by this new form of bad tempered sheep.

Actually, I did look up the entymology of "llama" recently and apparently it's from a native South American word - the flame thing is just a coincidence. But why let dull fact get in the way of a good Guide Entry...

I wonder if llamas are flame retardent...(retardant!??)!??

Is their spit alone highly flammable!?? and what of their icky poo picky tounges!?? OH!!! How I must know!!!
