Hi Lynn
Limericks go like this
line 1=8 (or) 9 syllables
line 2= the same
line 3= 5 or 6 syllables
line 4= the same
line 5= 8 or 9 (whatever the first line was)
First two and last line are supposed to rhyme and line 3=4
A foolish young man from Cologne (1)
Was urgently called to the phone (2)
when he answered, he heard (3)
from a voice that inferred (4)
that his cat had been let out alone! (5)
