Hi Crescent!
I'm brand-new so please bear with me. Anyhow, I just looked at your page and there was a link called "cannabis" and it said "access denied"... maybe that's your personal 'scrapbook' or something?
Whatever, the reason I clicked on the link is 'coz I'm from the new cannabis capital of North America, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Don't misunderstand. I do not advocate illicit use of medically prescribed substances...just look how it ruined Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, two creative people who may have lived productive and successful lives if they hadn't smoked pot.
Cannibis is a hot topic of political, social and scientific interest over here; some have medical permission to use Cannabis,
yet the people who supply them can still be prosecuted for trafficking! BC now EXPORTS to California. There are "Hemp" shops,
smoke clubs,etc... I don't want to go on forever but it is a large, controversial and eminently worthwhile topic which is freely discussed in our media (TV,Radio,Magazines,Newspapers) but which seems to be permanently put off the agenda for serious, rational discussion, proper legislative debate, and sensible legislation by the influence of Uncle Sam to the south... a spin-off could be the degree to which we who are not American, (which is not to say Anti-American) are influenced at the Federal Government level by American politics...
I happen to live in a prime hotbed for this type of debate ( I shan't elaborate until invited) and can contribute if appropriate
Another: the gov't sanctions & taxes hell out of tobacco & is now engaged in a lawsuit against the tobacco industry; mainly based on the health problems of ageing soldiers who were ISSUED cigarretes. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

The actual entry is an old version, for some reason I cannot add anymore text online, so I am finishing it offline, in notepad But please read it, and tell me what you think I follow the general story of BC, but from an American perspective, on the http://www.marijuananews.com - a very anti-prohibition site (very biased, and so, as a consequence, sometimes a bit too nitpicking, but definatly one of the best sites out there I must admit the Americans have wielded too much power over the whole 'drugs' issue. I went to the UN web site (when doing my Universal Declaration of Human Rights) and they had some info on a few of the international treaties on drugs, and ALL were with different places and America, none were between any other two countries Unreal eh?
