I don't know why you can't email the Post Office. We're getting email fine from the usual sources.

It's almost certainly me being stupid. 
I copied the email given in the Welcome to the Post Office entry exactly as it stood: ie postteam-at-gmail-dot-com. It was only when I looked in my gmail account I realised it should be [removed by Editor].
I don't know if anyone else has been confused.

Yes, we don't write addresses out properly on h2g2 because we don't want them to be picked up by bots who send us spam.
