h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

..I am running a University of Life project on card games, but I am having trouble finding volunteers to write about card games, the project page is at:

I was wondering whether The Post could help to boost the projects profile and so the number of contributers.

Yes... I think I asked a few questions in the uni email list about the card game idea
I would be pleased to make it more widely known in The Post.
I'll drop by the page and see if we can't actually run it as an article...
On a side note, I am toying with the idea of putting a more permanent weekly entry incorporating useful links to regular items like the Obits, Clubs and other worthy places.
Does anyone have ideas as to what else should be included?

I have taken the liberty of 'lifting' your neat article about the playing deck and various terms used is basic games...
I think this could run as an informative article in its own right with maybe an introduction added as to what the intent is and links to where readers could offer to write about other games.
If this meets with your approval I'll set it up and send you the url to check it over. It would be best to try and get it done this week as I may be taking a short sabbatical for the next couple of weeks.

I was toying with writing about Bezique but, sadly, just haven't had to time recently... it is still 'on the cards' though!

I've sent you an e-mail but I will repeat what I said here:
I think it's very good.

There is one spelling mistake which is my fault, it's in the section on tricks, one of the early sentances should be:
"...played in a round and representing.."
I messed up the word played, whoops.

But apart from my little error I would be happy to see this go in The Post as soon as possible.

Hi Shazz, I like the idea of a weekly entry. One of the things I dislike about h2g2 is that it can be so decentralised you miss out on things that are going on, which is why the Post the the Front Page are important. I think we include links to places where there is a lot of activity, such as some as the fan clubs and so on, and also any news or information about the site, such as the messages posted by the h2g2 staff on the community soapbox page, and any news on new policy changes and additions.

Let me know what I can do,
