Read the following and you will understand why ViveAnn was born into the position of officer/and soldier in the "Blue Tribe" Society:

The Brief Prologue:

ViveAnn (basically a reflection of myself and how I think) is born into a society, in which the population is comprised of MOSTLY women. The reason this is so, is because:

1) During one of the past wars, a biological weapon was implemented against ViveAnn's society, which then affected the male chromosome (the gene that makes a human a man). The direct result of this weapon only manifested in the "birth result" of a generation later. So because of the parents' war, the children born afterwards were mostly born as GIRLS. This ratio of GIRLS was 3 GIRLS to 1 BOY. This phenomenon was first overlooked and then considered to be an unusual incident. However, a generation later, in the generation of grandkids, the "birth result" was 9 GIRLS being born to that of 1 BOY. You would think that ultrasound would detect this phenomenon while the babies were still in the womb. However, ultrasound could not succeed because (1st) the boys do become boys in the womb, (2nd) but right before before birth --actually 2 weeks before birth-- they reverse back into girls. Interesting and sinister weapon don't you think?

But to continue:

The alarm goes off, and immediate research is done. The society had to be instantly re-structured, which resulted in the conditions that ViveAnn is eventually born into. *Retribution* against the barbaric tactics of the "Red Tribe" society, which implemented the weapon, was the FIRST concern of ViveAnn's or the "Blue Tribe" society. However, immediate revenge was not possible. I will tell you later in this explanation as to why immediate revenge was not possible.

To continue:

Men were no longer permitted to fight the wars because there were NOW so few men to spare. Women were instead slotted into positions and functions to fight the wars and, ultimately, maintain the "Blue Tribe" society. A Women Warrior Class was created in which ViveAnn would eventually be born into. Within this class, there are different bands of positions and ranking (or the equivalent of the military, airforce, and navy of today). ViveAnn is eventually born and then assigned to be in the "Furies", which is a band of fighters who specialize in "blitzkrieg" (lightning war, fast strike tactics), seiging, and withstanding seige. ViveAnn's mother was a socialite, a high ranking woman who was permitted to marry and to also keep this man to herself. The man fulfilled more than marriage required because he actually romantically loved ViveAnn's mother, which is why she married instead of only getting access to a man to sire her children for her to fulfill her "duty of rank". ViveAnn's father's *true love* and affection of her mother is the real and ultimate reason why ViveAnn wishes to marry. So, ViveAnn wishes to have the same blessing that her mother was fortunate enough to receive -- she wants the same type of love that her mother received. However, I have to continue my explanation of the time before ViveAnn was born.

Research is done to ascertain a solution to bring up the birthrate of boys. During this time, another generation is born, or the great-grandchildren of those who first suffered this damnation on their society. This time the "birth result" was favourable but still disturbing. This time, 6 GIRLS were born to every 1 BOY. ...So, hope and optimism were bloistered.

However...

Once the next generation was born, that being the great-great-grandchildren of those who first suffered this damnation, the "birth result" neither inclined nor declined in the ratio of 6 to 1. Throughout this tribulation, ceaseless and almost maddening research is done. But all trials and experiments fail to increase the ratio to the normal 2 GIRLS to every 1 BOY "birth result".

Now you may ask: Why doesn't the "Blue Tribe" society make war and steal boys from the "Red Tribe" society who implemented this sinister and barbaric weapon against the "Blue Tribe"?

Well, to answer your question:

The "Blue Tribe" goes on the defensive while it tries to fix the problem it is suffering. The "Red Tribe" cannot be further provoked because it may implement another crazy (unseen) weapon on the "Blue Tribe".

But you may further ask: If the "Blue Tribe" is purely on the defensive and trying to fix its problem, then how come the "Red Tribe" doesn't strike the "Blue Tribe" when it is at its seemingly weakest?

Ah, to answer this question, reason this:

The "Blue Tribe" seems to be at its weakest. Seeming or appearances can be deceiving. So the "Red Tribe" does not further wish to provoke or attack the "Blue Tribe", which means that they only let their weapon's effect do its damage.

[I will talk about the Enmity/or the Feud
between the Blue Tribe and the Red Tribe later on, but not in this Brief Prologue.]

The Blue Tribe's society is now completely changed in form. So, women rather than men fulfill roles, positions, and functions that are "the brain, the muscle and the bone" that keep the society together. The few good men that exist are now put into a symbolic position, which is to have their bloodline (genetic traits) be revived. Or more simply put: Men are now required to breed as much as possible with women to, hopefully, bring in a revived and many-fold generation of men. But as well, there is another option for a select few of these men: There are a special few among these men who have inherited the title to or have also merited to, therefore, still fulfill roles, positions, and functions that are the "Intellectual, Military, and Work Force" within the "Blue Tribe" society.

Finally, in the subsequent generation, or of the great-great-great grandchildren, ViveAnn is born. During this time, ViveAnn's society has accepted the long-term effects of what happened. So, the "birth result" of GIRLS to BOYS is now and always 6 GIRLS to every 1 BOY. The societal mentality is now of patience to wait out the long-term effects. The reasoning of the "Blue Tribe" society is to wait for their continual breeding/and research to eventually out do the effects of the "Heredity Disrupter" weapon.
