An Old Worry had to Die Hard

I have to work!
Mom, everyone has been telling me to get into a MA History Programme, and to then do a PH.D. But my stupid problem has been my own doubt because I've, since January 2003, been wondering about getting a boyfriend. So, right now, I have categorized "boyfriends" as unnecessary and stupid to wonder about.
Since January 2003, I've been wrestling and trying to resolve my private and public/academic life. I didn't want to be unsuccessful in getting another boyfriend. But that old worry had to die hard, or my academic career will not be fruitful to the full extent that I deserve.
When I was feeling conflicted, I kept wondering about how you got Married At 22 (which is definitely unlike myself). I kept thinking, "If I don't get a boyfriend in my 20s, then I won't ever get a prospect to marry after my 20s". But this thinking had to die hard and be no longer considered.
