The Divine Architect who made The Matrix -- or Rene Descartes philosophizing
ViveAnn Started conversation Jan 14, 2005
After I thought a little harder about Trinity (and what the other hackers) could do. I then realized that they knew of a REALITY beyond the *Matrix*. These people knew of a greater world, in which they had free choice. So, the Matrix was only a shadow of this greater reality. As well, the
Matrix was certainly ruled by Princes (the machines) who had the human race enslaved. As I thought harder, I then realized that this situation was the presentation of a philosophical question and of the Judeo/Christian proposition.
The Matrix is essentially what Socrates said to be "A Shadow Of Another Realityā€¯, or the material/physical realm was a shadow and a place in which choice was kept in the dark and was limited by that extent. As for Judeo/Christian belief: The Matrix is the material/physical world that is ruled over by the Prince of Darkness. LOL .
So the truth of the world beyond does set you free. Free your mind, Neo.
Furthermore, Neo discovered who the ARCHITECT of The Matrix was. The Divine Architect was the Mad Scientist/Evil Architect that both Rene Descartes and Vexen Crabtree have philosophized about.
>>Vexen Crabtree has written a lot about the matter of an Evil semi-potent God ruling over our reality
>>all that he has written is his philosophical musing. He even says that his philosophizing is not INFALLIBLE (or an all-encompassing concluding truth).
...Like him, I also let people know that I only philosophize (ask questions).
...So whatever I write, please do not say that I am wrong but further inquire and ask me to clarify. Or ask me to justify myself. Or just be grateful that we can disagree because democracy allows us to do so. Disagreeing in this situation (well, on h2g2) WON'T cause war.
Now more about Vexen Crabtree,
>>>He lives in the UK, and his website (although posing radical ideas) does, in fact, pose very 'good' questions to consider
>>>a particular link, hosting his musing about an Evil God ruling reality, should be looked at:
http://www.dpjs.co.uk/god.html
>>>Vexen's complete website is: http://www.vexen.co.uk/
But to talk about Rene Descartes:
Descartes philosophized that Material/Physical Reality was created and ruled by a Mad Scientist or an Evil Architect. This idea can also be found in Hindu and Buddhist teaching.
There is a teaching in Buddhism that proposes that Material/Physical reality was created and made by "Mara" or an Evil God who has entities (such as ourselves) enslaved in THIS prison. Entities (or souls) were somehow entrapped by Mara, and he keeps them prisoner (they are repeatedly reborn) by keeping them ignorant of him and slave to their physical desires. Moreover, the PHYSICAL reality, which Mara created, is called "Sumara".
So, Rene Descartes and The Matrix movies proposed that the Divine Architect of Material/Physical reality wants to keep people enslaved to serve his purposes and his minions purposes.
What was more interesting, as proposed by The Matrix movies, was that the Divine Architect did not know that a 6th Neo could break the riddle of the Matrix and, therefore, set everyone free. So, as proposed by Buddhist teaching, knowing the Architect 1st) provides a chance to escape from the prison reality, and 2) he can't know all the choices (possibilities) that you can make once you meet him and know him.
In the Matrix movies, the Architect of The Matrix didn't know that the 6th Neo would be "able" to wake up all of the human race and set all of them free.
If all people are to meet the Prince of Illusions, Mara/the Architect, then people would 1st) have a chance to escape his prison of ignorance and suffering, and 2nd) their knowledge "enlightenment" (knowing the truth) will set them free.
