I write, at least, 3 pages. I wished, like Traveller in Time, that I could put my words into less symbols or into code that could be a PARAGRAPH long. Since I cannot, you are lucky that THIS isn’t in your face, but you are allowed to choose to read it.
*********************************************************************

I am glad that you've mentioned the Matrix movies. Yep!, they are awesome. smiley - smiley

I have seen all three movies. But I will not talk about those movies yet. I first want to tell you about a movie that predated the Matrix Movies.

This movie addressed the exact same Existential questions.

This movie is called VIRTUAL REALITY, and it first appeared in 1997 (I believe that was the date. But it definitely appeared before the first Matrix movie).

***To anyone who reads this: If you’ve heard about VIRTUAL REALITY please tell me. I have looked for information on it on the Web, but I found not a single thing.***

Actually, when I compare VIRTUAL REALITY with the Matrix Trilogy, I have to say that VIRTUAL REALITY proposes more questions to think about. The Matrix Trilogy was made for all audiences to appreciate. So, unfortunately, the Matrix Trilogy has watered-down (even excluded Philosophical) concepts. However, I love the Matrix Movies for what they are... Yay! ...because they are main stream movies which show people questions to think about.

I am thankful for what the Wachowski Brothers have done.

Now, I tried to find a website about VIRTUAL REALITY, but there is no such website. Or I have failed miserably. Okay, I will talk about the Matrix Trilogy:

When I first watched the Matrix, I thought:

"Sweet! Look at Trinity move! Look at the explosions! Wow."

But then I thought, "Hmmm, could reality really be what you think it to be? Could you actually move like Trinity, if you knew you could?"

I then started to think about the mages, wizards, alchemists, and all those people who performed magic. I haven't mentioned miracles, but I will soon talk about that. smiley - smiley

Concerning the wizards: Their source of power (energy) came not from themselves but from the Primordial Source. Merlin is the example of a wizard (or "sorcerer") who not only performed magic or shaped reality, but performed magic because his BEING was half-magic in essence. The figure of Merlin in the Arthur stories, the King Arthur legend, noted that Merlin was extraordinary not only because he was a wizard but because he had no mortal father. smiley - smiley

In sum, the magi and wizards most certainly knew a Primordial Reality that was beyond the Material/Physical realm. Because they were aware of this REALITY BEYOND, they then made choices according to what you can call "gnosis" (the Greek word for "knowledge"). By their will, they completely channelled energy from this Primordial Realm so that they could perform magic or be extraordinary.

Now about the alchemists:

Alchemy was not just the damned attempt to turn base metals into gold. LOL. Alchemy was in fact (call it science but I prefer method) the method to do extraordinary things so that extraordinary results could become manifest. Alchemy was, in fact, a method that is *Science, which believes in miracles*. Alchemy was essentially a method unlike secular science. Secular Science ideology believed and still believes in no miracles, but does make mention of miracles that are somehow performed by it. Sir Isaac Newton was an alchemist as well as a secular scientist. smiley - smiley Newton wrote books and books about his quest to turn base metals into gold. As well, in these books' pages, what was written contributed to his work in measuring and in understanding the *Laws Of The Natural World*. smiley - smiley

Now I will talk about miracles:

Like the definition of magic, miracles are the same. But, miracles were/and are not performed from a *truly* mysterious source (not from what was/and is called the Primordial Source) but from GOD. In the Old Testament of the Bible, you know the story about Aaron's Rod (which is the staff that buds at its top, and was eventually kept in the Ark of the Covenant). This rod was the staff that was direct transceiver
that channelled GOD's strength so that "miracles" could be made manifest. As well, Aaron's belief (faith) in GOD also enabled him to perform miracles. smiley - smiley Moses also had a staff, and by this staff he performed MANY miracles.

Moses --by his knowledge ("gnosis") of GOD / by his faith / and by the gifts (or his staff) that GOD bestowed him-- parted the Red Sea with no great difficulty!

Now, I do not need to talk about Jesus Christ Super Star (Jesus
Christ). He performed miracles because he was GOD INCARNATE. smiley - smiley In fact, Jesus and Merlin were like each other. But Jesus was half man/half god, and Merlin was half man/half magic from the Primordial Realm. Merlin did not claim to be GOD INCARNATE, but said that he had no mortal father. Merlin certainly knew that he was half mystery. As to whether Merlin was born because of an Infernal father, I have to say "no". I think that Merlin could not have done good (or the justice that he tried to do) if he were half-demon. The demons are in complete line with Satan. So if Merlin were half-Infernal, then Merlin would not have free choice. As I wonder about his magic half, I have to say that he didn't know GOD but perhaps GOD blessed him somehow. But as I examine Merlin in a non-Judeo/Christian context, I cannot do him justice. So, I would like to leave him be and continue to like him for the justice that he tried to do. Merlin had a belief that Camelot could be established, but only by a truly good and just man.

I like both Merlin and Jesus Christ.

Well, all the above thoughts came to mind after I thought a little harder about Trinity (and what the other hackers) could do. I then realized that they knew of a REALITY beyond the *Matrix*. These people knew of a greater world, in which they had free choice. So, the Matrix was only a shadow of this greater reality. As well, the
Matrix was certainly ruled by Princes (the machines) who had the human race enslaved. As I thought harder, I then realized that this situation was the presentation of a philosophical question and of the Judeo/Christian proposition.

The Matrix is essentially what Socrates said to be "A Shadow Of
Another Reality”, or the material/physical realm was a shadow and a place in which choice was kept in the dark and was limited by that extent. As for Judeo/Christian belief: The Matrix is the material/physical world that is ruled over by the Prince of Darkness. LOL smiley - smiley.

So the truth of the world beyond does set you free. Free your mind, Neo.
