No need to sulk and be jealous Niwt...
Well, actually, there is.
It was great fun. Went on just about everything, including all the big rides - Nemesis, Oblivion (Yay! I actually did it!), Ripsaw, The Blade, The Black Hole, etc. However, no need to be jealous of The Corkscrew... at 21 years old, that just plain hurt!
So, when are you coming over here? You just have to do Alton Towers! I am sure this won't be the last time we hold an h2g2 meet there.
The campsite was nice and convenient, the pub was very welcoming, and the rides were excellent fun! I'll make sure we arrange a meet there, especially for you.

England's your part of the world, right!?? ... I'm planning on being in Sussex for about a week in late March, even though my parents aren't happy with it...

Alton Towers is in Staffordshire, sort of in the middle of England. Late March sounds like a good time for another meet, although they don't re-open 'til Easter, so it depends when that falls next year. Bit cold for camping then, but the pub landlord recommended the self-catering cottages next door, which would sleep up to 16 people.
Sussex is quite a pretty area. Whereabouts are you going D?

I am not attracted to amusement parks at all. There really aren't many plans for my visit, except for Abbey Road of course and Liverpool. Hee he hee... we're also going to meet Ian's mommy, which will take a day in itself... sooooo.... But England's not THAT huge... is it!??
