I have house dust mite allergy. The doctor gave me a spray for this, but I regularly forget to use it, so I mostly take anti-histamine tablets instead. Except when I have a cold, and I'm so bunged up that there's no way those allergens are going to get up my nose!
Usually this is fine, but today I have been scratching and my brain has just cottoned on to the fact that I am still getting an allergic reaction, despite the cold. I've noticed the itching in the past, when I've forgotten to take my anti-histamines, but never when I've got a cold. It's just not fair. One more pill to add to the pile. I've run out of too, so I can't even take the 'traditional' cold remedy.
