and that's in reference to the title. Well... sorta. Once again, I haven't managed to get around to writing anything on here because of my busy social life (yeah - right!) - actually it's more a combination of lots of work to do and the desire once the work is done to get as far away from this computer as possible!!
So what have i been up to... I went sailing last week on Sydney Harbour (again). This time I was prepared - I wore shorts, had a camera with me and even did a bit of actual sailing (as opposed to going from one side of the boat to the other every time we turned.) Hopefully the photos will turn out - it was an interesting experience - every time we tacked, I was winching the sail and my foot would be about 2 inches from the water (cos we were at a 60 degree angle). Getting back up to the other side of the boat was amusing - nearly didn't make it once.
Apart from that, been going to the gym a fair bit. Can't say it's doing any good (I don't think Arnie has anything to worry about for the next while) or any harm but I'm enjoying it. It's gotten a lot hotter and sunnier though (as I found out at Homebush, the Olympic Stadium, 2 weeks ago. Here's a tip for anyone Australia-bound. I know they say it and I know it sounds like bollocks but you definitely can get badly burned when it's very cloudy. And don't get a haircut the day before - you'll burn the crap out of your scalp!!) - so I've got an amazing brown arms, brown neck, translucent everything else kinda tan at the moment!!
It's weird though - I still can't get my head around the weather and seasons here - it's getting hotter, but the schools have just gone back and half decent programs are started up on TV which by all accounts must mean that it's Autumn (September in Irish terms).. but it really doesn't feel like that. Hey, ho - I don't care - I'm finally able to see the new series of Friends so I'm happy enough.
Also - booked my tickets to the Melbourne Grand Prix!! Dead chuffed with that - staying in a nice hotel (well - it looked nice in the pictures) and grandstand passes for the Senna Stand (That's the last turn into the start finish straight). Coolaroola, as Mr. Nash would say. Something to look forward to. Only problem is who to support? I'm definitely going with Jordan - but I think the Jaguar merchandise will be cool looking so I'll end up buying some of that (I'm not a yellow person per say)... at least I can use Eddie as an excuse for that (i'll ignore the fact that Johnny Herbert exists... after a few races that'll probably be the general concensus too)
Anyway - I'm gonna head cos I wanna go home. Talk to ya later.
