I had a new experience last night. It's called "walking out the door at night and nearly dying from the heat". Apparently it was over 31 degrees Celcius last night - even the breeze felt like it could burn quite a few trees if it felt like it. Very strange - especially for someone who comes from a nice cool country.
The fact that I had to towel off 5 times after getting out of the shower before I gave up on even attempting to be dry says a lot. But that's the first time since I've been there that the house I live in was actually cooler than the outside world (from a heat definition. In terms of hipness... outside world wins hands down again.... sigh..)
So I'm taking advantage of the "please don't let it rain this evening" weather and I'm going down to Centenial Park to watch Blade Runner - the Directors Cut in an open air cinema. Should be fun. If you're around I'll be the one standing up, pointing at the screen and screaming "he's a bloody replicant - isn't it obvious?" and the trying to catch the various foodstuffs, drinks, bottles, and moltov cocktails that get thrown at me (if you could make them with vodka, it'd be appreciated! Thanks.)
'tis enough for now. I'll write again soon.

HAHA, we are having what actually amounts to quite clement weather, you know that clear, cold still weather they get a lot of on the continent (as in Europe)? That invigorating and pleasant weather, with the sun shining and everyone well-wrapped, that is what we have. No nasty rain and wind and no it is too hot to go outside. According to an Australian friend of mine February is the stickiest month there so get used to it I am afraid!! By the way how was Blade Runner (and were the grub pickings any good?)?
