Nope - not talking about me... I'm not *that* self absorbed (although many would disagree) - but basically I just haven't really been writing all that much for the past week or three. Mainly due to being really busy and forgetting to do simple things like getting sleep (I'm a procrastinator at heart, even if i can't spell it, and that's the latest thing I'm putting off.)
Can't really complain though, cos I'm having fun and that's the main point. As per usual my life seems to be totally based on pure coincidence - for example, last Saturday I decided to get an early night by just going to a movie as opposed to going out on the town (especially dangerous here because the opening hours are so much longer than back home - you wait to get kicked out as per normal, and then you realise that it's 5 in the morning and not 2 at you thought). So I put on my comfy non-going-out clothes, don't bother shaving and just head to see the flick. As I'm walking past the Shark Bar (which is becoming a usual haunt, but god knows why. And yes - it's called that because there are actually Sharks in a tank in the bar. Great imagination at work there. Funnily enough, the RSPCA or whatever organisation looks after the welfare of dangerous fish is removing them for some reason... thereafter the place'll probably become the Bar I guess... see - didn't you miss me spouting such crap?) I get yelled at from a taxi going past. For a change, it was actually people I knew... and they managed to convince me to come up for a beer or two before the movie. After much cajoling (about 1.23 seconds) I gave in... and left the place at about 5 in the morning. Good night though...
I'm still pale as ever - I think the sun's allergic to me cos every time I try and go to the beach, it does a runner. At the moment it's about 33 degrees Celcius out there and there's not a cloud in the sky. I lay odds that on Saturday if I decide to go to Manly or Bondi, it'll be pissing rain. Hey ho... I'll get a tan eventually (but knowing my luck it'll come out of a bottle!! Only kidding - I'd rather stay pale than go orange!!)
In other news, we had our first (and hopefully last) Huntsman Spider in the house the other day. We were watching Arlington Road, and Dom went into his room to get something. Next thing I remember hearing was a lot of spraying. I thought "Odd... it's 11pm, what's he putting on that much deodorant on for?" and then he walked out with a huntsman on a piece of paper. A large piece of paper. For those who don't know what a huntsman spider is, count yourselves quite lucky. They're not dangerous (I've been led to believe) but this one was easily the size of your hand, with large hairy legs. Now, coming from Ireland, this is a big jump in the spider ick factor because the big ones we have back home are, well, tiny I guess.
Anyway - time to head for the hills... I've updated the ol' website with new pics from New Years Eve - might as well have a look if you've time. (this all goes on the assumption that people read this. If you don't would you please tell me!!)

I was wondering if you had made friends with a cliff over there or something (or maybe a bridge). It's good to see you back. I have been wandering around H2G2 harassing unsuspecting people and talking utter bull as per usual! As for you and the sun you ought to know that the Irish cannot possibly be outside at the same time as the sun, at least once they reach adulthood. It is the old rule, you know the way when you were in the middle of exams and the sun was absolutely splitting the sky and you would wish that you didn't have to stay in a hall with other people and answer questions about topics you had forgotten were on the course? Of course the very day that the exams would finish would be the day that it would start raining, then it would rain until you were back to classes when all of a sudden you would find yourself in the middle of an Indian summer without the benefit of days off to use it. Changing countries doesn't change you that is why it is cloudy on weekends. QED. I had better go I am supposed to be working !OOPs!
