h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well the past week has been hectic so I haven't really been in a journal-writing kind of place, hence the distinct lack of any drivvel on this page (okay - any NEW drivvel. By the way - is that how you spell it??)

Last Friday was a short but interesting day at work, due to the Christmas party dinner thing I went to the previous night with a few Aussie friends. Nice meal - great wine, and therein sorta lies the problem. I had about a bottle and a half (not counting beers) and spent the next morning projectile vomiting every 15 minutes or so (regardless of whether I had anything in my stomach or not). So I cut work short and retired to bed and slept for.. well... most of the weekend really (except for a brief time on Saturday night when I went out with my housemates to a place called the Shark Bar, so called because of the 2 sharks swimming in a tank in the middle of the bar. Word of warning - dancing and chewing gum at the same time is complicated and dangerous - especially once you start chewing the gum hard and wondering why it's hurting you so much... yup... chewed my tongue nicely that night so talking's a bit of a problem. And for those who know me, that's generally a good thing!)

Asides from that, I'm currently endeavouring to win the Formula 1 World Championship using Ralf Schumacher in his Williams... you have to have goals, don't you? Join 2nd at the mo with Eddie - David Couthard keeps appearing out of nowhere in the last few laps and rams me off the road (see - it is realistic!!) and Imola's next. But I will prevail... or at least make sure DC doesn't finish any more races!!

Going sailing in a race across Sydney harbour this evening. Bringing my camera so there should be some okay shots posted on the web soon... I'm just waiting for eircom to unlock my web page and I'll be all set, so keep your eyes out for photos of Kangaroos and Pharmacology students (a friends graduation photo) in the near future!!
