Sorry - I've completely run out of any original thoughts as to titles (or indeed content) for my journals. Should change at some stage in the near future so for the time being i'm just going to ramble until I get a life or wear my fingers out.
It's not too good a sign - since I've been in this country I've spent about a quarter of the time feeling ill... and on only two occasions was it drink related (which would be permissible) So I'm taking it easy tonight - I just went out for a lovely meal with my two housemates (well they sharethe house, I just sleep on the floor.) Oh - news on that front - the Aussie girl rang me today - I'm meeting the other occupant of my new (hopefully) home tomorrow at 1... so fingers crossed things go well.
Anyway - had a nice bottle of wine and a big steak for dinner - I figure a few more of them by the end of the week and I'll be feeling human again...
Actually the next week or two is going to be a veritable star-fest of, well, icons of popular culture. That's right folks, Ms I should be so lucky herself will be right outside my work on Wednesday signing her new book (she finally finished reading her first one a few days ago.. Boom Boom. Wokka Wokka. Sorry it's late and I'm tired - humour escapes me but then it always did!) but that's not the big news... no - on the 14th November in Darling Harbour - there'll be an open air concert by those paragons of cruciality - S Club 7!!!! I've already bought the tomatoes and they're currently truning a nice shade of brown on the window-sill!!
Speaking of such boy-girl bands... when I was leaving the gym the other morning I saw a phenomenally interesting sight on the TV. It was called High 5, and featured an Aussie version of Steps (for those of you who don't know who Steps are... well, I envy you - although I have to say the one with the short blonde hair is damn cute... better qualify that - the girl with the short blonde hair. Unfortunatly, when you think of huge tits in Steps, your thoughts leave the girls and focus on the two blokes... if there was ever a good reason for euthenasia, that's it!) ... where was I... oh yeah - an Aussie version of Steps singing and dancing... for 4 years olds (who all appear to have taken at least 10mgs of Mogodon!) Very bizarre - but the girls are damn cute so I was torn between watching from sheer disbelief and horror and just plain letching at the TV...
Actually - last night we ended up in a trendy little pub in Darlinghurst (we being myself, my Tipp housemate and a few lads from Dublin that we've met in the past few weeks) and the boys were having a drink when this girl walked by in a long slinky black dress with long black flowing hair. So of course all the lad's eyes turn to catch the rest of this girl - and then she turns to show a full beard. Naturally enough, this left a few of the boys in a certain state of distress (I was fine - I'd seen hairier girls during my first year in UCD Engineering) but in this case, it was indeed a bloke, albeit a fairly effeminite looking one. Not so his mate with the shaved head, pointy goatee and huge frame. Oh, did I forget to mention to long one piece grey dress with the knee high slut boots he was wearing? The worst part of the night came when later one of the guys got his ass beaten (figuratvely) by them on the pool table! (Amazing how they managed to do those tricky cross table shots without hitching up the dresses I must say!)
More random thoughts are passing through my head as I write... but I think it's time to call it a night and get some sleep.
Au Revoir, mon petite pomme de terres.. I'll catch U later
