Have to start somewhere I suppose....
2 days left to go in my current job and then I'm free!
With a bit of luck, my Visa'll come through in a few days and I can head off on my travels.
That said, I'm not looking forward to the ol' vaccination jabs in the arm.
Purposely infecting yourself with diseases so as not to catch them makes as much sense to me as jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for fun, but I suppose it has to be done.
Actually, it's something that's bugged me. Before parachutes or bungee cords, the majority of people who experienced the thrills of falling out of an airplane or jumping off a building generally didn't live long enough to tell anyone about it...
Basically, nowadays people are getting to attempt killing themselves without the nasty death bit at the end (which has generally ruined the otherwise fantastic rush you get). Well you can see why they called them "extreme sports". Callling it what it is wouldn't be a go-er from a marketing point of view.
(to be fair - I'm just a little sore on the point - I attempted skiing, a relatively safe sport, and ended up screwing up my knee on the baby slopes! So I'm a tad biased. And unlucky...)
Enough rant.... back to work

Hey Stuart, I thought that I would reply to all of them 'cos you roped me into this Guide but I think I will make this one brief. One question, if you are attached to a rope does it diminish the thrill?
