Allow me a little gloat as my favourite American football team won the Super Bowl today 21-10.

I've been a Pittsburgh fan since the team's glory days of the 1970s when they won a then-record four Super Bowls. And I've stuck with them during the lean times and now they're back on top of the heap!

My eldest stayed up past her bedtime to watch the game and it was great to have someone to share the excitement with!

That's terrific news Jimi. I was in Chicago during the World Series finals and the excitement was incredible.

They don't show it over here - not a major uk sport fair enough - but it doesn't even get a mention - I'd be happy to watch a big final like this, of any sport..

Your brother is probably a New England football fan. And the Pittsburgh fans gave his team's quarterback a rather rude welcome when he came out to do the ceremonial coin toss.

I'm sure the BBC mentioned it on World News - they often give NHL hockey scores and I'm fairly certain they covered the World Series (baseball). Though I guess since hockey is popular in Canada, that'd make sense now that I'm thinking about it...
