A messy little storm dropped ice and about two inches of snow here in southcentral Pennsylvania.
More of a bother than anything else...
I guess winter is here to stay.

We have had a sprinkle of but nothing much. We haven't had a really bad winter for a long time but they are telling us we are due for one this year or in to next!!
Stay warm,

A friend of mine in Chicago just told me that the temperature was -10 today. That's chilly, I think. Then I realise he is talking about -10 FAHRENHEIT.
That's unbearable...
I'm lucky I guess I am back in Ireland this week and not over there!

I lived in Chicago for a year and enjoyed some of the most intense weather I've ever experienced.
Though my college years are right up there for amazing weather - sunny an average of 29 days a year with loads of lake effect snows...

I have a feeling I might already have said this but anyhow: my son is 6 and he has only seen snow once - last Christmas Day. It was gone before 11am that morning.

I was six when I first saw snow: my youngest sister was 21. Apart from seeing snow on the top of the alps while flying a long way above them, that is.
You are in the wrong part of France. My next youngest sister near Macon couldn't take her baby out of doors for five months last winter because the cold and snow were so bad.
