Suicides again

Post 1

babylon

I found myself speaking to a lady who was contemplating suicide albeit in a very half-hearted fashion. It turned out that her husband of many years had passed away a few years ago and she was finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the loss which is entirely understandable.

She showed me the letter she'd written which was quite desperate. It offered no explanation as to why she had taken her own life. It was just a list of what bank account was where and how much she loved various people.

I went away feeling rather sad. I can sympathise with her but I can't understand her. The best thing she could do is move out of the house and "start afresh". The whole house is filled with memories that are obviously very painful and if she changed surroundings this would do her a power of good but of course it's not for me to say anything. It's up to her friends to say something or for her to realise herself.
