h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

There's a guy where I work who is very patronising indeed. He makes me squirm and want to use violence against him but of course I can't. I can't work out whether he knows he is being patronising or whether he just speaks like it to everyone he meets (this is principally because I can never hear him speak to everyone he meets since I can't be in two places at once!).

The added difficulty is that he is in a supervisory position and also has many years more experience than me so he does actually know what he's talking about. It's not as if I can point out the error of his ways since he's never been factually wrong as far as I know and to take issue with his attitude at present would cause more problems than it would solve.

I'm at home now and I write this after consuming a salmon steak along with a chilled pint of Stella Artois. I go to bed relaxed ready for the next day's problems.
