You are my friend, and I care for you.
Maybe a little too much.
We have the same senses of humour, and act the same too.
Maybe a little too similar.
But when I’m with you I feel complete,
And I want to make you feel the same.
Because for me, you are the most beautiful woman that ever has lived.
To me beauty seems to burn from you,
Your inner beauty and your external beauty both hold me enthralled.
And when I sit with you, I look at you and I can’t believe what you told me,
I think, how can no one have told you before,
That you are as beautiful as the morning sun,
As moonrise over the silver sea.
Your humour makes me laugh, your nature makes me smile,
And for a little while I feel free.
Free from the pressures of the critical world.
When you are with me, I wish that the time spent together would last forever,
In a perfect golden afternoon.
But it’s gone too fast, and then its time for you to leave.
So I walk you to your bus and wish that I could tell you,
That I’ve fallen in love with you.
And so I love you.
Maybe a little too soon.
And I try to hold on to the hope that someday you’ll love me too.
