As your quest hasn't brought to my little corner of the guide, I figured I'd save you some trouble. I believe the correct pronunciation for the Baobab tree is Bay-oh-bab. At least, that's what I seem to recall from my schooling.
Might I suggest, as an introduction to the field of rap, the band Digable Planets, who do indeed play instruments. Us3 is another good starting point.
May fortune smile upon your quest.
Pan

See you were bound to be... er.. struck by me soon because I happen to really dig your name Funny, my best friend just introduced me to Gorillaz, which is heavily rap influenced, and really rather cool... My horizons broaden yet again... s to check out Digable Planets.
Expandingly,
Kate

Dan the Automator (Albarn's collaborator behind Gorillaz) has another album under the nom de plume of Nathaniel Meriwether called "...Presents Lovage." If you like Gorillaz, you may like that as well. It also features Mike Patton (ex-Faith No More) on vocals.
I can't possibly imagine why you might like my name.

Oh then you made it that far down did you? Yes... self confessed Pink Floyd addict... And since I haven't listened to that album in a few ... days, I'll turn it on now in your honor
I love new music recommendations, so always feel free to pass along your ideas
Lyrically,
Kate
