Chewing wasps
Virtuouschuffed Started conversation Nov 29, 2005
I have a beautiful 13week old Rottweiler called Drew, who likes to get in to mischief....a lot of mischief in fact
Well...today I got a phone call at work from my hubby, a very urgent phone call... Saying that he has to Drew up to the vets!!
Hubby didn't know if the had eaten something she shouldn't of or if she had been bitten....but her face was beginning to swell up Very quickly.
When the finally got in to see the ..she could hardly open her eyes and her mouth was very swollen...The diagnosed an insect bite....probably a hibernating wasp and then she was given an antihistamine injection to deal with the allergic reaction.
So now the panic is over and all is well.....But Drew still looks like she has been chewing wasps!!

The vet said to keep her quiet....But how do you do that, when she bounces around so much?

The injection she had today will keep her quiet for most of tomorrow.. but like young children, they always bounce back quicker that adults.

She's fine now.....her face has gone back to normal!!!
I was going to audition her for the next rocky film if it didn't settle
