I thought it was worth passing around this link, provided by the wonderful Woodpigeon:
http://www.rte.ie/news/2007/0328/morningireland.html
And scroll to 'Deer causing havoc in Co Clare'.
It's made my day

I can't view it so I'll take your word for it, but 'breeding' with cattle is surely not quite correct?

I listened to it, but the chap from Co Clare was somewhat hard to understand - and I was distracted, which is never a good combination.

(Good heavens - "important" and "wonderful" in one day! What did I do? )
It's amazing I didn't crash my car after hearing this one live on my way to work a few days ago..

Wonderful The interviewer was really struggling to keep a straight voice at the end there
Thanks Skanks and Woodpigeon

Did the guy get cut off because the time ran out, or was the presenter just having too difficult a job not laughing.
Beware the ferocious bullstag of Co Clare.

It was the very end of the programme that morning. A pity! It was just getting interesting!

My favourite quote was '...and they seemed very alert to me'. Alert calves? That's definitely a sign of interbreeding in my book

Gnomon - time to move on Posted May 5, 2007
I got it first time round, when Woodpigeon mentioned it.

Excellent. "Driving cattle berserk"
I love the way that lad talks. "But of course now the grass is more palatable to them". "Mingling between them every day and every night!"
Thanks for that Rich.
