Otherworld Atlas

Introduction

The Otherworld is the Fairyland of the Spiritual realm, which overlays our own, physical world. It appears as the Earth appeared, hundreds of years ago. Here, the Earth’s extinct species make their home. The Irish Elk, the Dire Wolf, the Woolly Mammoth, and the Saber Toothed Cats are just some of the species which can be found in the Otherworld. Here too, are found many of the Faery races of the world’s mythologies.
Along with the Otherworld, there are various Elemental Planes. Annwn is the Elemental Plane of the Gnomes, or the Earth Elementals. It has also been known as “Annwfn”, “Annwyn”, “Annwyfn”, and “Annwfyn”. It is the Underworld of Welsh mythology. It is a land without disease, and an ever-abundant food supply. It has alternately been ruled over by Arawn, the Welsh king of the dead, and sometimes leader of the Wild Hunt; Pwyll, king of Dyfed; and Gwynn ap Nudd, the Welsh king of the Fae. The latter is said to hold sway over demons, and is another leader of the Wild Hunt. The Welsh saint, St. Collen attempted to banish him with holy water. It most likely failed to take, as he’s not a demon. Both Arawn and Gwynn ap Nudd raise cwn annwns, the breed of Fae Hounds which follow the Wild Hunt. It is said that one may enter this plane at the mouth of the Severn river, near Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel or on Glastonbury Tor, in Somerset; where saints and kings are buried. Within the Otherworld proper, the Earth Elementals are ruled by Gob, as well as minor Goblin kingdom rulers.
The Elemental Plane of Fire is a world made completely of a vast desert. Full of Djinn, and Fire Elementals, it is stifling hot, with dry air. This is as it should be, as fire is both hot and dry. On a hot Summers day, this plane is closest to the physical world. This is most likely where the various religions’ concepts of Hell derived from. It is thought that this plane, as well as the Hells of the Plane of Creation, can be entered through many of the world’s volcanoes. The Elemental Plane of Water is known as Tirfo Thuinn, and can be entered through the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Llanon, Wales.
Two major Spiritual Planes are the “General Afterlife”, and the “Plane of Creation”. The “General Afterlife contains the souls of those whom are between lifetimes, as well as the Temples of Learning. Those whom have lived their last Earthly lifetime, will move on to the Otherworld. Here they may experience Etheric lifetimes
As an Elemental or a creature of Fae.
Those souls whom are creatures of Fae at their core, spend the time between Physical lifetimes in the Otherworld. Nowadays, these souls are known as “Otherkin”. Otherkin are Devic, and non-terrestrial souls, whom have incarnated into a human body. Devic souls include the Fae, Elementals, Angelics and Demonics. Non-terrestrials can be Devics, or Humanoids. Humanoids are the regular, non-devic souls which inhabit the General Afterlife. Devic souls tend to have their closest karmic relationships with those whom are also on a Devic evolutionary path. The souls inhabiting the Otherworld often travel to the General Afterlife in order to attend classes, and visit with friends. Souls also travel between the Planes while they dream.
