Re Mosquitos...
In Glasgow, the steps leading up to Borders bookshop in Royal Exchange Square used to be a hangout for goth-types. I never saw any trouble there. Now thay've got security guards to drive them away. I'd like to start a campaign against that!
Mind you - there's an argument for fining people for wearing excessive eyeliner or purple crushed velvet...
