There are a half-dozen other steps ... The first one being to change your introduction into what they call "GuideML". Basically, it means that you'll shape the whole thing in web-browser language. That can take some getting used to. That's why I suggested that you just click on the blue-link in my last note, and add a favorite or a bookmark. (Depends on what program you are using to see this)

In simplest, try this idea. (Assuming that you are good with the copy and paste thingie)

Open word-pad, and then copy the following gobbley-gook stuff to it. Don't include the asterisks, just everything in between.

Having read through several other peoples entries I now realise Iam actually quite sane so you will have to make do with the facts which are I am female crazy about Africa, space, books, my four children, gardening, areoplanes and my husband of 23 years now this is where I say not necessarily in this order however today this is quite possibly the right order.

I am fascinated by how people learn, how to grow vegetabels and fruit, how a small african town in Namibia came to be called Rehoboth, will they make it to Mars and will my second son be part of that team, what does heaven look like and does it bear any resemblence to "what dreams may come", does my car need a new engine or shall I just have it reconditioned, will we ever see a labour fedral govt again down under, and can we stop them putting up nuclear power plants, does Al Gore really believe what hes doing or is he over compensating, will Lipton be bringing out a new radio active tea any time soon and will our water tanks run out before we get more rain and what the heck is the story behind my pool which is doing it's best to imitate a 1970's mood ring.

Then, ... "edit" your introduction, and just under the main editing box should be a click-thing to "change to Guide-ML". Hit that ...

Your new editing page will have a blank "subject line" (or not). Make it what-ever you wish, such as a zillion improbable things to do before breakfast. And within the edit-box, replace (paste) everything with what you have sitting in word-pad.

Under the editing box, there should be a "preview" clicky-thing. Give that a try ... If no errors are reported, then select the "update" clicky.

If there are any errors, drop everything, and run about ... screaming maniacally. smiley - rofl

Oh, just go outside, find a large open area, and run around screaming primally for a time. And then, when you're exhausted, you're in a proper state of mind to learn Guide-ML and other web stuff.

Actually, if you want a tutor in that kind of thing, ... One with patience and a whole lot more knowledge, I would suggest you chat with Traveller. He is just teeming with smiley - geek-knowledge. And apparently patience ... something I generally don't have a lot of. smiley - erm

My day proved very nice and relaxing. Even if a bit bothered by weather changes, head-colds, and that ugly thing that smiley - senior folks live with, ... arthritis. smiley - groan

Have you given a thought to calling on the e-mail address that is disguised on my intro page as an envelope? Sometimes, longer, more instructive stuff can pass by mails, and be printed for reference. smiley - smiley

We have a comet in our night sky at present and we are going to take a looksie on Saturday when we go down to Perth, smiley - magic we are actually going the following weekend too for the Australia day celebrations, this year there are to be four sky shows and we are going to watch the ones in Fremnantle from my parents balconey. They live one street back from the Indian Ocean.

Dad used to own a boat and we would go sailing, he is 69 and just this week retired and so he is busy playing with his new found freedom, apparently mum now has seven controls for their home entertainment system which somehow incorporates the use of his laptop and a mouse if he wants to change channels on the TV or call up a movie from their collection. Me I am struggling with where to find the switch to turn on the kettlesmiley - winkeye

Okey-dokey on the mails idea. It's always there as a clear-line, if it proves easier to say anything.

Hmmmm, a zillion house-hold controls, eh? I have tried, even though I am a techy-smiley - geek, to keep such things to a minimum. A large part of it being a recent need for the wearing of glasses. I finally conceded to daily wear of the cursed things a few years ago. smiley - grr

And if you own a good camera, any pics of that comet experience would be something fabulous. There are a number of free photo sites on the internet to post them. Just look at the piccies I link to from my intro page. Up to 50 MBytes of free storage. Nice for simple sharing of "once in a life-time" things. smiley - biggrin
