She, and her brother Ezekiel are suppose (according to my theoretical storyline) to half-breeds: Human and Dark Elf (you know the elf/dark elf divide business?)

It doesnt show so much in Ezekiel, he wants to be normal really, but her and the other brother Vincent are the preeetty evil, and shes come to play among the humans

I just realised that wasnt exactly a 'hint' by the time I finished writing it

Hmmm, this could lead to some interesting plot twists. What was the cause for the apparent estrangement between the Ezek and his Alyssa?

Well, I figured Ezekiel came here to become an illusionist to 'hide' who he was. Hes suppose to have a branding tattoo on his neck placed as an enchanment to try and draw out his dark side, which is suppose to be the reason his hair is coloured with stripes- and his family dont like the idea of him learning among humans at all. So, he asked her for something to try and slow the enchanment incase he gets found out at the MG and thrown out- and she came grudgingly because although she likes him she knew shed get in trouble. And she stayed when she found out about the Orcs, but I cant decide her ulterior motives- maybe to try and persuade him to leave the MG and come back? cause trouble?
