thanks for your advice. i´m going to overdue the wissant article.
To Cologne:
Yes there still is the Heinrich-Böll-Platz - it´s behind the dome, by the philharmony
You´ll be glad to hear that the stairways from the main train station to the dome are rebuilded. and in progress of the architecture works there are now about 12 parking places (for cars)at the main train station left.
Mind that cologne is a big city with about 1 million inhabitants, just failed to get cultural city of the UN (why?) and is going to have world soccer championchip matches in 2006.

Mind you, my knowledge of the English language is not faultless. You've have to look with critical eye at my advise.
I think it would be wise to write out the sentences properly.
I liked the joke about the engineer who built the bunkers. What was his name, Mr Tod?
I only visited Cologne once, years ago. Just by accident I discovered that the square behind the cathedral is named after one of my favorite writers.
I liked the square, because it was an empty and quiet space and a relief from the hubbub of the christmas-shoppers crowding the endless streets full of shops in front of the cathedral.
And the square offers a splendid view over the Rhine.
