No! There's nothing wrong with the sprouts from Dutch soil. I just don't like them overcooked so they become all soggy. I like them crispy.

I didn't understand the refference to stepmom packing up goodies when you got back - where was she taking them to?

I see now from here that you were just travelling - just visiting all over - (asked in other post) but . . . . oh goodness i've just gone and gotten myself all confused smiley - smiley. Well I guess I'll just have to keep up with the updates to fill in the blanks - glad you're home safe anyway. LOVED the refference to being filled by impressions! I never get hungry at all and when asked by others what that's about - I'm going to tell them I'm filled up with the impressions of life! smiley - smiley

Ah yes, that was Hati who said that. In an earlier conversation she wrote she doesn't eat much when she's travelling. At that moment I didn't ask for the reason but the remark stuck in my memory and I thought a lot about it in France.
Those two men of Calais (who broke the two poles of my tent) and I spent a fortnight in each others company. I stuffed them with food and they spent their money on booze. Awake in the morning they would take a 'café Belge', a beer. I don't mind drinking a couple of beers myself in the evening just not in huge quantities, or in that manner.

Yes, my stepmum was in the kitchen when I entered through the frontdoor as I returned to my dad's house. She had opened the fridge and took all sorts of goodies out and put them in her bag to take to her own house. You see, my dad and stepmom had dinner together and she had just phoned for a taxi to take her home when I rang the frontbell. She thought the taxi was very quick to arrive had rushed to the fridge to take out the groceries she had bought for herself at the shop earlier that day.
My dad and stepmum are not living together in one and the same house anymore. After thirty years of living together my dad decided two years ago live on his own. They visit each other on a daily basis.

There are supermarkets that sell lots of cheeses. Blimey.
