Hello Clarissa
It's a long time since I spoke to you. I hope all's well. I have been doing some reviewing. I must get down to writing again. In February I'm starting an OU course in creative writing. What are you up to?

Hello Hearst,
I tried to find Robquill's review but was unable to. I went over to your space and saw that you had joined an e-mail reviewing group. How is that going?
OU course in creative writing, I believe quite a few members of GW have taken or are still taking it. Did you need GSCEs or A levels or whatever to enroll?

Hello Clarissa
I can't remember whether an entry qualification was required for the OU course - I applied for it such a long time ago. I wrote another story along the Pat theme, it's called, 'Then and Now' and is still in my space. I got two reviews for it, one of which is Robquill's if you're interested. Are you staying in Vienna for Christmas?

Clarissa Posted Dec 22, 2004
I shall go over and read it after writing this.
Yes, I shall be in Vienna for Christmas but I hope to get away on the 27th or 28th for a few days.
It is extremely cold here but if I have the courage I shall go to Midnight Mass, if only for the music.
The e-mail reviewing: has that been a help?
Now going over to read Now and Then.

The e-mail reviewing group has been good. There are some really strong writers in it. I've only reviewed. I need to have titles set for me with deadlines - roll on the OU course.

Join the Flash Challenge. Set titles every evening, 75 minutes to write a flash on one of the given subjects...
When do you start the OU course, how long is it, do you get a qualification?

Hello Clarissa
I've just signed on. How do I join the 75 minute flash? I think it would be good for me to have a regular writing commitment like that. At the end of the OU course you get a certain number of points. You can take further modules in the area of English language/literature and with enough points get a degree qualification.

As I couldn't find it on Community News, I tped in Daily Flash Challenge in te GW search bar and found it after quite an effort. As I have subscribed, I get it automatically every evening.
I shall try and find it again and perhaps do a copy and paste for you.
If not, if you come over to My Space this evening and when you see the Flash message with the date, you can subscribe to the conversation, add your commen (how to question)then and all the other flashers, lots online at the same time, will come to help you out. It really is a friendly crowd, writing and reviewing daily but not obliged to do so every day. Just when one feels like it. Titles/subjects are given and the flashers have 75 minutes to write their piece in.
