I would expect light bulbs to have the lead here. It would be hard to prove though.

A typical car (like mine) has around twenty bulbs (including those in the instruments) and one battery. A typical house - say three bedrooms like mine - has twenty five to thirty mains powered bulbs and no batteries. There are around a dozen battery powered devices in my home with an average of about four batteries each, five of which also have bulbs. That puts bulbs and batteries about level in a typical home but in the streets there are few or no batteries and thousands of street lights.
