What a wonderful country this is So much sunshine!!
I flew into Barcelona on Wednesday - it´s a gorgeous old city, shabby in parts but really interesting, and beautiful and sunny and warm - bliss! The staple of their diet appears to be Jamon i Quesa Boccadillas - ham and cheese baguettes, which is all good - plus they make all sorts of paella without seafood - today´s lunch was with pollo and cornejo, which I discovered afterwards means chicken and rabbit! It was very good tho Barcelona´s Barri Gotic reminded me very much of venice - lots of shabby old buildings with balconies full of laundry and winding alleys.
Yesterday we were in a coastal town called Tarragona, lying on the beach and getting nicely sunburnt and this evening we are in Valencia. The spanish are quite in the habit of going out for dinner at 9 o´clock, so after I´m done here we will do exactly that
I love the lifestyle here and the sunshine, siestas are the bomb and I´m considering spending a week somewhere learning spanish if I can.
Love to you all, stay in touch

Nice of you to emerge from your spanish haze and bless us with news of a still beating heart and functioning mind. Awful generous of you.
Glad you're having fun in spain, bet you're jealous of me going to brisbane and then driving to sydney for work - it's just o-so cosmopolitan. Everyone who's anyone is abandoning spain for the eastern seaboard of Australia... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I think i might need to flee this humble nation for northern climes.
BE WELL
Ian
