Yay! Finally I have a real place to live
On friday I moved into an apartment in north london (near Finchley Road tube station if that helps anybody) with 4 friends - 2 Irish guys, an Irish girl and a Swedish guy. All are great people and based on the first few days, I think we'll have a lot of fun Good craic, as the irish say
After 4 months of moving around, I'm really enjoying having a lounge room to chill out in, a proper kitchen (that I'm not sharing with 100 other people) and a bed to sleep in that will be mine for at least the next 6 months!
I'm still working at the pub, altho a change of management has me considering other possibilities - maybe another pub, or a real job. Altho this afternoon I got offered a sort of apprenticeship as a painter/interior decorator. Not a long term option, but the daily rate is a damn sight better than the bar maid business, so I might look into it.
Christmas will be spent in Oslo with my second cousin - about as big a contrast as I can imagine from the usual one in Perth. It will probably be the first Christmas of my life where I haven't gone swimming and it's been less than 30 degrees. I just hope it won't be 30 below, altho it is already snowing in Oslo... I'm looking forward to a white Christmas
Hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine!
Love, Carol
