Well, I've now worked in a pub for 5 days, and I have to say I LOVE IT! I'm even getting used to smelling like a dirty ash tray - the english still smoke copiuously in their pubs.
I'm getting the hang of the work, altho there is a hell of a lot to learn, and am getting to know the people who work there - several friendly Irish guys and and English guy, and a lovely Swedish girl who runs the kitchen. I can't complain too much about a job where I get to listen to great music, talk to people, and drink while I do it 
I can see it being hazardous to my health tho - so far I've stayed around for after work drinks every night - Alcoholism ho!
I'm staying in a hostel for now, which is OK - it's a great location and not too expensive - just not the greatest place for sleeping in the morning...
