Happy Australia Day!

Still not much excitement in my life, but I'll write some drivel anyway!
Got a part-time bar job at a hotel called 'The Skeff' - really nice people (quite a few Aussies), altho it's pretty busy, and they're fairly obssessed with fast service. That's not unreasonable, but as Dad used to tell me (most mornings!) less haste, more speed. I.e. running around like a headless chicken and breaking stuff is not actually quicker than being a little cautious and working steadily - especially when you don't really know where things are... Like the protruding edge of the coffee machine which I belted my head on last night! Not there are many brain cells left to kill... Working Australia Day there was quite good fun, as there were loads of Aussies, and we were selling VB (bleccchh) and Toohey's Extra Dry (yum!), plus quite a bit of Bundy Rum
Otherwise, the job at the loan shark is still going well - thursday and friday were pretty quiet again, so I spent friday morning playing with the plan for my boss' new kitchen tiles... It was much more entertaining than writing headers on endless forms, which ws my only other job for the day!
Last week I finished reading the Diary of Anne Frank, which I really loved. Can't believe I never read it before... The context of the Holocaust is fascinating enough, but it's also a truly amazing insight into the mind of a teenage girl. Now I'm reading Lady Chatterley's Lover, which I'm also really enjoying
I'm now going to kickboxing classes 3 times a week, which is good fun, and trying to swim at least once a week, altho I was a bit slack and only did 1km on Thursday, after managing 2km last week...
Not a lot happening - life is pretty routine!
Love to all
