Regarding the novel thing

"Did you manage a whole novel?"
Well, sort of. I managed the 50k words, though the novel is only about 66% finished. If you want, I can email you a copy, but note that:
1. it is the worst thing I have ever written (yet (except maybe that thing I did in primary school...)),
2. its incomplete
3. the pacing is entirely off (I think I need to space things out alot more, especially at the start)
4. it severely needs an edit, or even a rewrite. Or ten.

Even so, it must've been a very useful excercise, if only to know what 50,000 of your own words looks like. I wish I'd had the time/committment to have a go myself. Did it help to know there were others out there going through the same process?
A part of me is afraid to go for the full novel, I think because I want the first one to be perfect. Realistically, it ain't gonna happen, so maybe it's just as well to get one out of the way...
I'd be interested to see yours, although I can't guarantee I'd read every word...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
