As to avoid asking you in the public forum, how come you scored the stories out of two scores of 5? Was it just a mistake or did you really hate the stories?
I had assumed you made a mistake...
Scoring
Weaver Posted Nov 4, 2004
Neither. 5+5=10. I just marked out of ten overall, is all. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Scoring
Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 4, 2004
So you didn't make a mistake, you decided to use your own scoring method?
That's unfair to others who are giving you marks out of 20.
Scoring
Weaver Posted Nov 5, 2004
As far as I knew, the scores were to be out of 10. Nothing unfair about it.
Scoring
Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 5, 2004
Therefore it wasn't "neither" as you said because you made a mistake lol.

Weaver Posted Nov 5, 2004
for f*cks sake, enig, it wasn't a mistake - the scoring was out of ten was it not? I don't recall seeing a post which stated the scoring was out of twenty. To use Tony Blair's phrase, I was acting with the best intentions.

Why are you the only person who's bothered? Neither of us won, whichever way you interpret the scores.
I thought 'anonymous' voting was supposed to avoid this sort of 'confrontation'
You cleared the issue up pretty well on the thread, so what's your point?
Is this how it's always going to be with us? I'm getting tired of your constant 'banter' and your need to be constantly scoring points of people.
For f*cks sake, chill out. It don't mean a thing.
And don't bother with a blow by blow 'critique' of this post either - it's getting old.

Can't a guy ask a simple question?
Why are you so wound up about it? I merely wanted to know your reasons for scoring like that. It was said that maybe you thought very little of the stories and thus gave low scores. I thought you had messed up so I asked you to clarify. You made a mistake as I suspected (although, very bizarrely, you won't say you did), that's the end of it.
You really are so sensitive. And you tell me to chill out?
You can't even say you messed up, which you obviously did. Oh, man.
As I explained on the thread it wasn't about winning, it was about correcting an error - an error you hadn't bothered to comment on yourself.
Acquire that thicker skin we spoke about...

That is hilarious. Everyone else marked BOTH AREAS out of 10, thus making a score out of 20. So no, it WASN'T out of 10 as has been made apparent. Thus you made a mistake, yes?
Everyone else: marks out of 20
You: marks out of 10
Hmmm, doesn't take much working out!
It's got to be said, if you can't see how it was a mistake it's pretty dense of you.
But never mind....

If you had the 'thicker skin' you mention, I probably wouldn't be in the position where it's easy to interpret everything you say as some sort of challenge. You just can't help yourself, can you?
Look, I really DON'T want to have to explain myself to you every time I log on to this site.
As for the scoring, yes, with hindsight, it has been made apparent, and I already apologised for the misunderstanding, which doesn't appear to be enough for you.
This has gone on far too long now.

I don't recall seeing you appologise but I'll take your word for it.
And now you're being melodramatic:
"Look, I really DON'T want to have to explain myself to you every time I log on to this site."
When was the last time? lol. Like I said, I've asked you a simple question so I knew for sure what happened. Simple as. You took it as a challenge and I can't help that; it's just you being sensitive, a trait I'd definitely associate with you (due to our previous run-ins).
It's over with so far as I'm concerned. I just can't understand your (over)reaction But hey, never mind.
Avante...

Me? Overreaction? I like that. Parting shot after parting shot, you always have to get the last word in.
Scoring
Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 5, 2004
Yes, you. I'm glad you like it.
I'm allowed to respond, aren't I? Besides, you keep responding too, so aren't you doing the exact same thing? (I'll help you out: yes).
Truth is your sensitivity annoys me, Weaver. Sometimes you and I get on fine, but all it takes is a joke or (in this case) a question and you whine. Had I been in your position I would've said: "yep, I messed up." But you have to go on and act like I'm harassing you lol.
Anywho, the last comment is yours. Now what will you do: respond as that's what I'm expecting? Or will you bluff it and not respond to make a point? Or will you say something I'll feel compelled to respond to, and then complain that I'm having the last word
Forget about it - I have.

Check post 2 in this thread.
When all's said and done, our 'run ins' all stem from your misconstruing of an otherwise innocuous post which used the name 'Neil'. Overreaction ensued when you posted four times straight to the same thread as a 'retaliation'. I have to admit it was pretty naive of me to think getting the posts removed (something the mods were only too happy to do, as they contravened the 'house rules') would put an end to it. Since then, you've also had a personal snipe at me whilst gatecrashing a conversation between lyndabk and I and then, as if gearing yourself up for a confrontation, you make a point of enquiring about the scoring for the 60 word comp in a separate thread.
I know you think the whole thing is hilarious but as far as I'm concerned, it's detracting from why I'm on this site i.e. writing.
I don't make any claim on being blameless in all this, but you seem to go out of your way to keep the fire burning.

Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 5, 2004
As I said: sensitive. And now paranoid too
I retaliated with OBVIOUS jokes. I said you were androgynous and that you had sex with a mashed potato-formed beast. And still you're going on about it! Get over it already. I've told several people on this thread about that incident and all of them thought you blew it out of proportion. As I said back then, I thought you were having a laugh so I replied in kind. You have a selective memory.
Pressing the mod button for that was pathetic for a start. But of course they'd remove it because I depicted sex
It was a public thread. Mine frequently get gatecrashed, it's the way it works on a PUBLIC FORUM. And a personal snipe? What was that? And about messaging you on another thread, would you have thought it best if I "confronted" you in the main forum in front of everyone? Or is it better manners to ask a SIMPLE question in another thread where many of them won't see? A simple question you couldn't answer without whining.
< know you think the whole thing is hilarious but as far as I'm concerned, it's detracting from why I'm on this site i.e. writing.>
You're being a drama queen. One minute you are happy to have a joke, the next you whine because your feelings have been hurt. What have I said all along? Don't joke with me if you can't handle it. You obviously can't because you're so painfully sensitive. But does it stop you making comments towards me? Nope.
Ignore me if all you'll do is cry everytime a comment is made. It's pathetic.

Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 5, 2004
P.S. Check posts 5 and 6. I point out you made a mistake (which you now admit), and you start swearing at me. Who over reacted?
Scoring
Weaver Posted Nov 5, 2004
Well, don't that make you happy. I totally just don't get you. There are probanly just as many people who think you overreact. But you're the one who keeps on resorting to personal insults to make a somewhat dubious point.
Scoring
Enigmatic1 Posted Nov 5, 2004
Not insults but observations. What makes you think I gatecrashed the thread to speak to you? Why do you claim to take my comments in that thread as offensive when you joked along with Blackadder quotes?
I just find your whining tiresome and I wish you had skin thicker than a super-lite condom.

"and I wish you had skin thicker than a super-lite condom."
explain how this is just an observation and not an insult...
