ummm cant really do so this minute as do not have any of his books at hand. hope to do so soon. what other books do you read? what do you think bout the fountainhead? hope u dont like it. cause if u do. and u like terry pratchett, then it is highly unlikely that i will like TP.

C'est Merde. Pratchett.... Imagine The Lord of the Rings meets Monty Python, via The Goodies, written by P G Woodehouse. Stylish, entertaining humour, with more laughs per page than anepisode of the Office, but using a fine story as the frame work.

ooh me thinks i will like! it sounds tres fabulous! but iv forgotten wat 'merde' means...enlighten me plis...have u read the poem chanson d'automne by paul verlaine? i love it its so 'Whoa!'and sad...but brill!
Les sanglots longs
Des violons
De l'automne
Blessent mon coeur
D'une langueur
Monotone.
Tout suffocant
Et blême, quand
Sonne l'heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
Et je pleure;
Et je m'en vais
Au vent mauvais
Qui m'emporte
Deçà, delà
Pareil à la
Feuille morte.
The long sobs
Of The violins
Of the fall
Injure my heart
OF A Monotonous languor.
All suffocating one
And pale,
when Rings the hour,
I remember
old days
And I cry;
And I leave
For The bad wind
That takes me
on this side, beyond
Similar to
the dead Leaf.

Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson, who I resemble, Vimes for the attitude, and the assassins guild, as we have similar backgrounds. I love the Patrician- whenever I think of him, I seem to hear John Cleese...!

Have been re-reading the watch stories; GUARDS, GUARDS ! MEN-AT-ARMS, FEET OF CLAY, JINGO, THE FIFTH ELEPHANT, and the best of the lot, NIGHTWATCH. It has a bigger budget, larger cast, and better special effects - you know what i mean by now... It's a movie in your head !

If they were films, who do you see as the characters ? you can have anybody at all, past, present, whatever, as long as they fit the part. I see the Patrician as John Cleese !
