Lord Job Boron. That's Lord Job Boron To You! Started conversation Jul 6, 2004
Hey this is a message to everyone whos passing who can read this. Because I'm bored I thought I'd start another conversation to add to my few about anything. I'm going to start with a random piece of philosophy from Nietsche: Is Man Gods Biggest Mistake or Is God Mans Biggest Mistake?

Hey I was just lurking and couldn't resist adding a quote I recently heard:
"God over estamated himself when he created man"
I've never read Nietsche but I'll check him out.

"FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE'S father, pastor at Rocken, near Leipzig, was of noble Polish extraction, and it was the son's boast that there was nothing German about him, although his mother and paternal grandmother were of that nationality........"
I'm easily corupted. Seems like good reading, you'll most likely be stuck discusing it when I finished.

I read his bio, and brief summary's of his most "important" works.
He's pretty cool, reminds me of myself. LOL. Similarly, I too will probably be completly insane by the time I'm 45. That kinda made me question the...cretibility of his theories.
He wasn't always crazy though, you might check out how old he was when he wrote the book you reading. I dont know if I could enjoy one of his books unless the text was translated/updated, it read like the bible............

So I gave it some thought and I dont know which two points you are refering too. Do you mean the text and the message?

Yes that would be what I was referring to. It would probably help if I could get past the first 6 points without falling asleep. I know, I'll read during the day.

Alot of that old crap has been "translated". I suppose it's even more subjective getting it second hand, it's still dry reading no matter what they do to it. Ya kinda half to take philosophy in small doses.

Lol. Yeah but its all really simple stuff. I am starting either Beyond Good and Evil or Twilight of the Idols this weekend. Anyway I just find it easier to nod in agreement with anythin anyone says. Confrontation is easier to take that way.

Come on now, non-confrontational people are mearly prey for the
rest of us.
It's simple, but subjective, and there aren't very many fight scenes or explosions. Thats what I mean by small doses.

I mean you and I could read the same piece of lit. and get two totaly seperate meanings out of it, and we could both be getting a different view than what the author wanted to express.
Phew, that sounds pretty hun.
