You know if you leave a carton of milk out of a fridge for a week or so, and then you pour it down the sink (or even worse, unexpectedly into your mouth)? The sound of this is just unmistakable - "Kerchunk, kerchunk, splot".

A very delicate aural texture indeed!
I recommend either the Shure SM-83 or an AKG 703, with just a hint of reverb.

Of course, if you're Tenctonese, I suppose the kerplunk-kerplunk-splot in itself is enough to make you mildy intoxicated. Forgive an obscure sci-fi fan.
